Seeing Clearly Through Blind Eyes
Thoughts to encourage me and maybe even you.
I invite you to look through my lens and share in seeking the light that leads to life.
John 8:12
The best part is not HOW Jesus came but WHAT he came to accomplish.. If He wasn’t born He couldn’t have died.
It can be so easy to feel inadequate when we see God show up in our lives and want to use us. I think that’s okay in a sense, because in our own power we are wholly inadequate. Its in realizing this and embracing what Jesus wants to add to our equation that we can begin to find who we are called to be.
Who am I, and who are you, to think that God can’t empower us to do anything and everything he calls us to do? He can when we can’t, in spite of and maybe even because of any weaknesses we hold on to.
As great as it is to behold his glory through a seaside sunset, I started thinking it shouldn’t only be such an experience that brings about these inspirations.
God is always at work, even in the circumstances that we may view as ordinary.
I think many of us, including myself, find that we are searching for solace in these times that have been challenging, or at least quite different, for everyone.
I recently read James 1 and realized that 2020 has been a perfect example of what James was sharing. It certainly seems to me that many of us have faced trials of many kinds this past year.
I’ve been blessed to live out a more literal definition of walking by faith rather than sight, but everyone has to do the same in their own way.
